Thanks, I have ordered the book and plan to start the nand2tetris. I really loved the way the guy explained the HDL. Very clear, I look forward to learning it and doing a lot with it.

I had similar a number of years ago. Did 2 things: 1) left handed mouse. Found I needed to switch the buttons for my brain to work with it. Took a few days to get used to it. Now I can switch back and forth without effort. 2) Wrist suppo

Actually I am about 4% ahead, but next week will change that. It was the lack of sleep that was important. Also I doubt the bottom has been felt yet.

So what do you want to do with your life? If you want to be a contractor, or independent developer, then keep doing what you are doing. If you have dreams of management the keep up the generalist.

First of I list what I know: 1) the economy had a very large, in terms of dollars, run up. 2) the fact that it was like 10 years is of little importance to me. 3) the P/E ratios were getting big, not horrible, but bigger than I was com

Decent people like you who ponder the question are especially the ones taxpayers want to take the money. A few years ago, a friend of mine was laid off. It had been two months and I was talking to him about his situation. I asked: SO how

Look at the 'worldometers' that someone else posted. You will see sloping lines there. You can judge for yourself when it has actually hit. Because of a lack of ICU facilities, governments are hoping to push the critical point o

I am not so sure I would say that. If Germany is not reporting a death if a person has high blood pressure, then I think theirs are under. The death rate from numbers I had seen were like 10x more fatal if you have some other issue. IMHO I

I only half agree with you. I think the real problem is the board votes for people who are not in attendance. How many of you have been to a stock holders meeting? Nor have I. Nor do I want to. I think rules need to be put into place:

I switched back in 2008 as the economy was headed down. I did not notice, just felt I needed to get out. New company laid me off after 11 months, as the market hit bottom. Company struggled with cash flow issues. To be fair, the new VP

I recall seeing a treadmill / desk combo. But since you mentioned it I am going to look for it. Found it on amazon, $1300. Seems like they just put a tall table over a tread mill.
