What’s the real strategy here by OpenAI? A temporary cushion and a reprieve from complaints by big publishers? All these deals they’re making will force other brands/orgs to follow, I am just wondering - once they get a taste of that f

I personally don’t want that. In my opinion, this current iteration of LLM is completely overblown and I am perplexed as to how quickly it is getting adopted into everything. Of course, LLMs are useful. For small tasks, there is a significa

Many great comments already as to why this is a bad idea, but here is another reason it won’t work: Anyone at these companies can sign up with their @company email address, post an “urgent bounty” and 10 minutes later show up at your desk t

This is unfortunately only an Opinion piece. The author has a Wikipedia page, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilan_Papp%C3%A9 But without more context, this reads a little too bland.

I think it’s safe to assume that in the next few years almost all consumer hardware will be able to run a local LLM comfortably. And no one knows if LLMs can go beyond GPT-4 in a way that will genuinely blow people away.

I think the recent interview by The Verge with Sundar Pichai[0][1] kind of reaffirms what this article/person is saying. As I said in my comment yesterday[2], Sundar was giving really shallow answers and 90% of the answers he gave were

Has Sam already tweeted how sorry he is? All things considered, this might actually give people perspective on how weird OpenAI has been when it comes to respecting other people’s property. The top comment in this thread is crazy too, they

It's really not. WSJ (and others) abuse paywalls by using Google-specific schema to have their paywalled articles show up in Search and Google News. That's my opinion of it. I do share your concern, but I think it ultimately ends

Who is this guy and why is he chasing this kind of clout? It didn’t occur to him that he could prove he is Satoshi in other ways? Is this one of those throw mud (lawsuits) at a wall and see what sticks type of guys?

Sundar said a few things here and there, but for the most part it felt like he was dodging questions or genuinely had no idea how to answer them. Nilay did try and press him a few times, and I understand why - The Verge is also at the risk
