Yes, thanks. I actually saw this tweet. I think he has a point. Has he not? I know people who get a loan on their stock portfolio. For that they need to apply for the loan at their bank. This takes time and could be denied. But, if you get

So borrowing and lending is no real world use case? EDIT: This is genuine question. I want to understand if this is considered a real world use case or not.

No :) I think that's actually what YOU are saying. You are comparing two virii that we could not observe for long in the wild (The Tigers) with some cat (Sars2). I think we have good evidence after 2 years that Sars2 is much more simil

That's not a strategy, that's wishful thinking. We have a vaccination rate of not even 70%. AND: forgot to booster the old and still don’t manage to booster them effectively. That's a huge failure. Every manager would get fir

I have often reflected about this. To me, it feels like that the week is not as "artificial" as claimed in the article. Working 6 days feels like the maximum before a full day of rest is needed for the body and the mind. It's

Yes, and if they had boostered the old in September/ October we would not be in this situation. Now, everyone wants to get a booster and many old people I know need to wait until December or January to get a booster. It’s the worst cas

This is not logical. More infections in the younger age groups would have boosted the defense systems of many while keeping lethalities low. This would have helped tremendously.

It’s absurd to believe that this will actually do anything additional to reduce infections on the short term. People don’t get infected while shopping. This is just meant to pressure the unvaccinated to get vaccinated which might help next

Probably not much. All KPIs are heading down now anyways, just look into the RKI dashboard [1]. Doing a quick math exercise underscores this: 70% are vaccinated, 6 million had it (at least, the number is probably higher), so in total 80-85%

As a double vaccinated German, I am very disappointed and angry about this move. Our politicians have failed to prepare the country for the Winter (who could have known...). We lack a basic strategy how to cope with Covid. And now they try

Same with any relationship I guess: - others wanting you will make you hot - not returning calls will make you hot - occasionally showing-up and being super nice will make you extra hot!

Because there is a reason they have been given the same name. They belong to the same family of virii. There are studies showing that exposure to one CoV induces immunity to the other. Here is just one paper around that topic: https:/

I think we will get rid of Covid-19, which is the disease. It will be just another common cold virus. But, "no", we will never get rid of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus).

"Lockdowns have worked". Depends on how you define "have worked". If you optimize for just variable (COVID infections), then yes, they have worked. Until now. If you look at the entire system, they have failed miserably.

Yes. We already have 4 other Corona Viril endemic in the human population. They probably all started out super deadly in a pandemic. This one will be endemic soon, too (1-2 years I assume).

I’m feed up with feedback. It’s probably because I have worked in companies with regular 360 and performance reviews. It has somehow numbed me down to the point that I think: why should I care? What’s the thing with this obsession to become
