At least for now, Squad and BF4 are working flawlessly in Proton inc. anti-cheat for me. Can’t say the same for many other anti-cheat games though.

IME wrist braces don’t help, they just lead to muscle atrophy. I picked up rock climbing and my RSI hasn’t come back since.

I just can’t fall in love with EVs. They don’t seem to have the same ‘soul’ as ICEs, which feel beautiful from an engineering perspective. I would happily have an EV daily, but I’ll always want an ICE exotic of some kind for weekend fun.

Lots of complaints here about IKEA furniture durability. My house is full of IKEA furniture and so far none[1] of it has fall apart. I think these tips can go a long way: - use proper tools instead of the cheap tools that come with the prod

I wonder how this guy feels about his no-car-small-apartment in 2020? :) My second bedroom has become an office. I bought my first car a few months ago (after 8 years of living on the outskirts of London) and it has dramatically improved my

I don't have an Apple Watch but I wouldn't be worried about this. I only have credit cards linked to my Apple Wallet - if there's a transaction I don't recognise then I'll just call them and cancel it.

Apple Pay is a godsend right now. Contactless payments up to £1000 mean I can pay for basically everything without touching anything. IMO, pick your battles. I’m happy to pay £0.79 to backup all my photos, and £5/m for decent email. I’

I’m the same except instead of [lastname] it’s ‘example’. The tld is a little rarer but plenty of people still use it as garbage input to web forms!

Apple’s pricing makes sense when you realise they’re just a consumer electronics company masquerading as a luxury brand. Most people can afford to buy an iPhone of some kind. $1000 monitor stands and expensive iMacs is what makes their bran

I recently abandoned three 24” hd monitors for a single 43” 4k and I couldn’t go back. All the desk space, loads more screen space. I don’t need high dpi as a programmer.

I’m using Home Assistant to join all my IoT devices together, and Node RED to provide a graphical programming layer for automation. It works really well.

I use a Xiaomi Dafang camera with custom firmware. They run on my local network with no access to the WAN. I can view them by tunnelling to a Raspberry Pi and forwarding ports. It works well but I have no solution for recording, yet.
