Just put a question mark in front, and you shouldn't have an issue. I used to run into that problem all the time. Not sure how it would work if you wanted to search Amazon or something...

How can you say FF copied the tab design from Chrome when neither one of them created the concept of tabbed browsing in the first place? They are both using the conceptual model of tabbed folders, which have been around for ages. Curved-cor

The BSOD screen needs to be more ugly. The font is too pretty to be convincing.

Did anyone else watch the linked video of the RC helicopter? It was amazing! I had no idea that those things were so powerful. The only ones I've ever seen are the ones at the mall.

The government probably watches over everyone in a position of power, regardless of their political opinions. It wants to make sure that the people in power aren't corrupt and aren't being manipulated. I'm pretty sure Preside

But the users are idiots. The users on the thread you linked think that filtering out shitty new sources is some kind of right-wing conspiracy. r/politics is the opposite of a place you would visit for reasonable political discussion.

I have adblock. I went to the forum and clicked on a 'technical support' thread to see what kind of things people were using. What I saw was not that 'normal' stuff. It was clearly prepubescent and sexual in nature.

CAUTION: if you follow links from that article, prepare yourself for some extremely fucked up shit. I was wondering how CashWhore doxxed so many people, so I followed the link to WJunction, then clicked on one of the threads. There was a li

The second part might be true, but human-driven cars are going to be on the road for a very long time. As long as they are here, accidents will happen, and insurance companies will find a way to charge you for it. Geico et al will never sto

I am willing to bet that in the vast majority of cases (in the US), it is exploitative to women. Women who stand on street corners and sell themselves are usually not doing it because they think of themselves as liberated. They do it becaus

No love for the Washington DC area? :( I've lived here since I was 10, and worked mostly in Maryland. Used to work in Silver Spring MD, then Hanover MD.

The website apparently has over 500 million lines of Java code though. Nobody can cover all of that by themselves in 2 days. Undoing bad design decisions at this scale takes a LOT of work, a lot more than you are estimating. Even if there w

I'm no crypto expert, but I would like to learn a little more about ECC. Are there any books or websites in particular that I should look into? I have a copy of Applied Cryptography and plan on eventually reading through more of it. I

I am currently in Charlottesville, VA (it is kind of like a suburb). It has a lot of hills, which affects the reception. Every carrier other than T-Mobile has signal boosters placed throughout the city to counteract spotty coverage. I'

As much as I love T Mobile's policies, I hate their coverage. I get 0 bars inside non-wood buildings, but when I step outside, I get a few bars. I live in a somewhat hilly area, so I get spotty reception in certain parts of town. I rea

What I don't understand is that if these companies want so desperately to enforce DRM, why are they using the web? A native application is better suited to what they want to do, and they are going to end up writing DRM modules in nat

Oh, okay. While you're here, I had one other question that I might as well ask: why can't I install VLC on my Nexus 4 using Google Play? I've installed a nighty APK, and it seems to work fine on the device.
