Desktop computer have some advantages that the so-called i-devices lack even for tasks that are not computer-centric. The main one for me is the longevity of your data. It is connected to the control over your data you have in a desktop OS.

I am curious for one if the long peace is passing the test of time in the last two years. Not only the Russia-Ukraine war is threatening to spiral out, but also there has been a very bloody war in Ethiopia. We are not at WWII levels of warf

Remember that's the Unesco who wrote this, and they have an anti-Zionist political skew. They make a point of separating "Modern Hebrew" from "Hebrew".

What about WebGPU? The only thing that I find unsatisfactory about it is that float64 (double) is not a standard type in WebGPU and it's not supported on Apple GPUs anyway.

The power button in the keyboard was a very elegant UI solution from Apple that required non-trivial electrical engineering solutions, and as we can see it even required some changes to the USB circuits. It is a testament to Apple commitmen

That's the option with the least headache. I believe there are other simulators too but they are much more specialized. With some hacking you can run all MacOS/MacOS X versions on x86, x64 and PPC from 8.6 to 13 if you have a x64
