It was, and still proves that a company marketing it with $500M didn't happen. Are you also going to say the same about python, or can we end this discussion?

C++ and C have spent $0 on marketing and are more popular, so I don't think this is a good indicator of success.

My problem with articles like these is the sensational headlines that Tesla made an AMD/Nvidia killer. AMD and Nvidia could both make this chip if they wanted to, but dedicating all the die to matrix multiply cores is a waste for most

Right, I understand the claims, but as you can see with AMD there's a ton of work to actually be competitive, and AMD has a large team working on it. I'm just skeptical at the claim the the software is of any use to anyone but a s

That's not true. There have been plenty of studies showing cloth masks help significantly over nothing, and especially if it's a double layer mask. The cotton ones that are breathable are worse.

It's also a fictional product at this point. Even if the hardware existed, if you can't program it, it won't succeed.

Registers and cache are used together, though. And shared memory is the same as the L1 cache, but manually controlled.

Read the article, then respond. #1 you don't know everyone who worked on it, and #2 the entire point of the article is this is WAY lower than their prevaccinated days in January.

Getting a shot is not a medical procedure and more than going to the dentist is. The efficacy is still much, much higher than not being vaccinated. I'm not sure I see what you're getting at.

You were vaccinated as a child and you're presumably perfectly fine. And it's not about you. It's about not being selfish to end a pandemic that affects other people a lot worse than it does you.

This has been debunked in a way. Viral load does not translate to how well they transmit it. Vaccinated people do not transmit covid as easily.

Yes vaccinated people can pass it on, but not as easily (study released today). Yes getting vaccinated will end the pandemic sooner because A) it won't be transmitted as much, and B) hospitals won't be at capacity for milder cases
