You encrypt them, but then how does anyone decrypt them? Do you have to pre-brief "normal" people about how to use PGP? It would be nice if there was a service that you could actually trust that would store the information in an encrypted f

While I don't quite disagree with this article, I think a lot of people have raised that handwriting is a useful skill in a lot of places that require a low-tech solution to communication. While it is technically possible to get by without

In many ways I find this article both interesting and scary. The author suggests that Quinn Emmanuel are shaking up the legal practice, but their method seems like a corporate version of the ambulance chasers methodology. A no win, no fee a

So I IM'd my buddy to say hi, and tell him that the company he works at got props by Daniel from Digg at the D.Construct conference. "Oh I don't do Geni any more, I'm working on another startup called Yammer" Isn't life funny. I guess some

I wasn't that impressed. The cheat sheet includes a bunch of stuff like events and XHR, etc. Maybe this guy is some kind of masochist but most people don't roll their own wrappers for these browser inconsistent features, they use a library.

I don't see the need for Google to try and compete in a space where there is already plenty of competition and Open Source innovation. Maybe they are tired of giving Mozilla Corp Ad Words money for Firefox searches.

I'm sure the wives/girlfriends in the article would be doubly suspicious of you because you obviously having something to hide! I'd like to think that trust might be a better foundation for a relationship that what you read on someone's tex

I think this is actually a really interesting study, but I think the title is misleading. The essence of the research the article is, badly, paraphrasing is that people over 30 find the number of features on cell phones intimidating. This i

I think this could be really useful advice for people needing to do a bit of self promotion for their project/startup. An efficiently run embargo can create a lot more interest in a project by giving the impression of an upswell of interest

The problem with censorship is where it goes. While some comments do indeed add little value, who should be the judge of value? If it isn't you then who is to say that the person judging isn't removing value from you to reinforce their poin

I take the guy's point that they are laying it on a bit thick, but I also think he does lambast them a bit too much. Being excited about your company and trying to get other people excited about it too is a good thing. Describing employees

I actually think that in some ways having a sucky post on the homepage can be a good thing. For a newer developer reading the comments of their peers and heroes smack down a turd like the "real programmers" post is a good thing. If a terrib
