In all fairness, Microsoft spent years buying up every major researcher in artificial vision and many other fields(to the point that Universities started complaining)and spent tens of millions developing this tech. It's something that Sony

Not sure about YCombinator, but TechStars is very open with their results. You can read up on them here: http://www.techstars.org/results/ I suspect YCombinator's are similar to those.

I was there for this celebration. It was all in good fun. The funeral was such a small portion of the day, it's being way overblown. It was like 15 minutes of an all day carnival. There was games, monster trucks to ride in, live music, and

I disagree. Overpopulation would effectively force humanity to create novel solutions. Perhaps we build up higher, or perhaps we move off of the planet, maybe we'll create giant artificial islands (or continents). We'd be forced to tackle

I don't think its a cycle or a spiral so much as a constant. People have always been greedy, wars have always been unnecessarily waged, companies have always abused their power. The only thing that changes are the names of those responsible

I work on the Windows team and was front row at the big Win8 planning meeting. It was good fun with Steve Ballmer shouting right in front of me (I'd never experienced that before... he's amazing at getting a crowd going). I can't say much..
