Plenty of native empires, such as the Aztecs and Mayans, enslaved, murdered, and worked to death numerous other groups of people, which are well documented in primary sources. The US did evil, as did the Germans in Africa during their colon

It is interesting to me to read your thought process. I still cannot disagree more. No one discovers a scientific breakthrough until they do. That breakthrough may have been an inevitable result of multiple independent teams working on it,

And I’m the CTO of a unicorn I helped build from nothing! We have different opinions yet lived similar experiences. I do respect and idolize the winners. Saying “someone would have done it if we didn’t” is defeatist. No one does anything un

Plenty of people can get investment. There is only one Amazon. If things are so easy, go do it yourself. Starting a company and growing it to the size of Amazon is extremely difficult. It doesn’t happen by luck or happenstance. It takes hig

America’s greatest success is the rule of law, stable republican government, and the protection of private property. America continues to outdo the rest of the world because it is better.

I always find that argument hilarious because the USPS was required to actually have conservative, healthy funding for their pensions - something no other state or federal agency does! And this is supposedly a bad thing! Just look at Chicag

I’ve met quite a few executives at US companies who emigrated from Europe. At the high end, America kicks the shit out of Europe in every regard. The high end people create the new companies, and thus America has far more equity value than

Counter point - art itself has absolutely zero non-monetary applications. If you disagree, then you must admit NFTs can be appreciated as art. If so, the argument of the OP is refuted. If you think art can be appreciated without being an NF

Pop music is about so much more than being a good singer. The hook is key, as is the content, the brand (artist), and how it's marketed. It takes a village to manufacture successful pop music. Being able to sing super well isn't r

Shelter is something you need. If you rent, the cost rises with inflation. With the US government, taxpayers effectively pay the inflation for you. The laws of the USA subsidize your property to make it artificially cheaper. I can’t imagine

I have a lot of investments but my property has been both a winner and something accessible to even non-wealthy people because of the socialized costs. Highly recommend property to everyone.

In the US you can put 5% down and lock in your monthly payment forever. This is because the government subsidizes this. It’s an incredible trade and that’s why any attempts at reform are lobbied so aggressively.

At some point you need to make a decision in life. I myself am self-made wealthy and I didn’t do that by putting all my money in index funds and renting. Have conviction - put down roots - commit.

An incredibly good investment for anyone that can afford it in the USA is a house. The government subsidizes your mortgage by fixing the rate. As inflation increases rents, you pay the same amount. It’s an amazing handout for even the sligh
