I think these meet the criteria... P. J. Plauger's "Programming on Purpose" series of essays. Purely Functional Data Structures by Chris Okasaki. I would put both of these alongside Bentley's "Programming Pearls&quo

I own one because I backpack and frequently go quite deep in the back country (err, at least I used to before having children, but I intend to get back out there once they're a little bit older).

My brother-in-law had to travel for work and left his car with us. It's a 2020 Honda Civic. The tire pressure warning light came on when I drove it a week ago. I checked the tires, only 1 was 2 PSI low. I filled it up in my garage and

This self-control aspect also works in other diets, too, of course. It's why I prefer cheat days over cheat meals in my diet. I've found that keeping myself consistent with my eating, and make deliberate decisions, for 6 days stra

How long have you been on an IF style diet? I "ran" it for about 3 and a half years before moving on. I'm curious to know what long term success looks like for people on an IF diet. I did get my weight under control on IF but

I have nothing but personal anecdotes and observations to base my thoughts on here but it seems to me that this has become true of life in general. And as the OP has now learned, it's of no consolation how right you are or how justifie

I got very, very sick once from mishandling chicken. It was "just" campylobacter. But it was much worse than the average case. I ended up in the ER and afterwards the county CDC wanted to know if I left the county, etc. Long story
