I'd doubt there's huge money being made by Amazon, but if they give a profit cut to one or two companies that make products AWS offer as a hosted service, then a bunch more will probably also start changing their licensing to matc

Please try and remember, as many people won't take a fully remote job as will not take an office bound or hybrid job. Lots of the best people are not interested in remote, so you're not going to get them by enforcing remote.

Except, recruiters were able to do just that for a really long time before leetcode came along. If a recruiter today can't assess a candidate without toy questions, they should probably reconsider doing technical recruitement.

To be fair, both want to force themselves on the other. Compromise is really important when considering how people work. The all-or-nothing attitude is unproductive and doesn't help either acheive their goals.

I'm calling shenanigans on this. I've never had an electric oven top while renting in London, and all flats have had gas heating. Looking online, I can also see new build flats with gas, so I really doubt this is a ban in London.

Thing is, if you needed to make a fire in the rain and skin & prep and animal, you'd have a good chance of at least getting most of the way there as you understand the concepts. The problem here is more equivalent to not even knowi

I think the trick is, that state needs to be carefully considered at an overall systems level, not just client vs server. That's quite hard, so many (most?) devs don't do it. Certainly, I've seen state managed well using jque

Considering the article is about the UK, I'm not sure how relevent US utilisation is in relation to it. That aside, I didn't say low utilisation, I said no utilisation. This has a good chance of your card being cancelled by the

You can use direct debits instead of loans and are available for a really wide variety of payments, so is easier and safer than getting a credit card for many people.

Not only this, but getting a credit card and not using it can cause an issue for your credit, so it's better to setup direct debits and other forms of credit than it is to get a card you never use.

The issue isn't not having a credit card, it's never having used any credit to create a good credit history. Setting up a few direct debits should work in lieu of getting a credit card.

I don't buy this at all. Even if GH is down for the entire day, how the heck does NO-ONE on your team know what they're doing? Was no-one working on something already? Did nobody pay any attention during planning? Do you not have

No, it's a bit misleading. If you've been employed for less that 2 years, the employer doesn't have to give you a written statement giving the reasons and you cannot claim unfair dismissal unless you believe the reason falls

It would also be negligent to deny service based on a reported problem without evidence that the harm is real and tangible. If CF start to do that, then this is where it starts to look a lot like the legal process, so why reinvent something

Usually, people don't tell UPS they have a drugs package, they tell the police directly and the police go and work with UPS. That's the issue with many of these analogies, people don't talk to the car dealership/UPS/

You're making an assumption that they will negotiate your pay up, and not correct the under performers down, or do neither. More data is useful yes, but not on a per-employee basis. If the average for your position is higher, then yes,

Thing is, Nomad isn't trying to go up against K8S. It's part of the Hashicorp family of products, so if you use a couple of those, it's easy to add Nomad into the mix, or just use K8S. While other competitors have tried to
