So much this. There's no good reason to use relative imports. They're less readable, more dangerous and don't solve a single problem.

None of the points make sense really. They are more about their own priorities rather than good advice. 4 is just especially weird.

What if you're arguing that women should stay at home, or that climate change is fake, or immigrants are a blight on society? It works both ways I'm afraid. And many people will think that those opinions are somehow good for soc

If you still wanted to use containers, podman is a great drop-in replacement for docker. Heroku's always nice and simple for getting stuff out there. Vagrant + a provisioner of your choice is still good alternative and works solidly fo

A trash bowl is a really under-recommended thing to have where you're working. A tidy space is much easier to work in, so having somewhere to quickly put the offcuts and mess is a really simple thing, but makes for a way better cooking

Considering Amazon built a replacement for mongodb to essentially give them the finger, I'd say it could go either way. If AWS feels like it's worth setting a precident, they may well fight tooth and nail to make them payup.

For me, the non-tailoring is a massive benefit because it doesn't try and guess at what I mean. When I search for "Python" I get snakes and language documentation. Having to be more specific about what I want isn't a g

Not only bad practice, but potentially not legal. Whether or not you think it's morally ok to connect to unsecured wifi without consent, in some places the law may prohibit it.

Having used clubhouse extensively, I'd say the absolute opposite. It's missing basic features, reporting is a joke and while the trelloesque usability is nice that's the only thing really going for it. It's also more exp

Also add utility bills to that. Gas, electric and water bills all increase by working from home, and for some their internet connection bills will increase as they have a need for more data and a better connection.

I use a lot of raw sql and I also use ORMs. I don't see ORMs as being the issue the author thinks it is, bit rather that developers suck at designing the data layer. A half decent design will do as you say; it will allow the use of an
