Applicant Tracking systems, like Bullhorn, actually do a pretty decent job of fuzzy matching and normalising CV/resumés. Of course there is room for improvement and you need to ‘SEO’ your particular CV, but you really should do that fo

That's exactly what RCS is about - except it's the Telcos that went to wrest control back. No thanks.

IP reputation is a different thing. I assume that this is why ESPs tend to drop mail from self-hosters. Low/no reputation or domestic IP often signal malicious activity, so the big ESPs act accordingly. The later reasoning comes from

Having worked in IT support early on in my career, I have observed that the typical user doesn't so much learn how to use a computer/OS as much as they learn to perform tasks by rote. You will get users that live in Word or Excel

The whole point of the CTRL key is for control characters when using a terminal. The command key on Macs (and the subsequent key pairs) predates CTRL-Z/X/C/V by around 10 years - Larry Tesler, had conceived the notion while

The bulk of this post discusses IP reputation which is the biggest hurdle to self hosting. It is the first line defence for spam/phishing/fraudulent mail. SPF and DKIM can align for DMARC, but if the IP has a bad, or no reputa

You're pre series A, yet you're calling a potential $2.1 billion competitor "incompetent". I find that a turn off. Never refer to the competition as incompetent - it will ultimately lead to complacency. Just my 2 cents

Self-preserving is the best. Thank you. I personally don't like self-propagating, when the truth is that it's free, but with a catch. Forcing people to do the right thing, even if the intent is good, is still forcing someone to do

The original statement doesn’t use pejoratives. Viral is the best way that I can describe it, I suppose insidious is better, but that too could be considered a pejorative. I’m struggling to find a word because I view it negatively.

Because the GPL, specifically v3 is viral. The point being made in this statement is that the requirement to give back is potentially onerous for many commercial entities, and that this hinders open sharing rather than promoting it. It&#x
