Isn't that just a timing issue? Why chalk it up to HN immediately when it's more likely to be the general interest in the language increasing and more people using it for less time are writing about it? This is a good thing as the

On phone and not sure of how to format a quote. Can anyone explain how this from their terms of services affects copyright claims. It appears that they do not own the content on user profiles and shouldn't be able to sue based on it: &

Exactly right, it can be very hard to make changes (even the right changes) once it's in customer hands. Sometimes it is easy, sometimes it is not. However, it's always easy to throw out code that isn't yet committed.

You can throw away the test if you don't find value in it. This can be very useful for fleshing out an idea.

You are correct. Not only this, but it's a blatant violation of TDD. TDD is having a single test go red->green, not a suite.

If you read into this more, it's actually the lye solution which artificially ripens the olive. That Youtube video doesn't go into the lye process other than the chart that you can see on the wall while going over the 7 day proces

Can they build the store in such a way as to limit cell signal? For some reason, every Target that I go into has horrible cell connections (inability to use my browser) but always free wifi.

My use case for redux separates the state and view across a physical process boundary (and not for kicks). The store is crucial there because it gives a place to hook in as both a proxy and as a coordinator between the processes. This use c

Second this. I used to keep tenant ID normalized but have found safety and performance in denormalizing it. It's not super fun to do, either, when you're at the point of needing to.

I never built anything crazy tech-focused at a hackathon, rather focus on a problem or product idea and flesh it out. This has worked well. On that note, I would say that using Gimbal beacons to power a walking tour app was something that p

The price per auth was incredible when I priced it out once. It was going to be several hundred K per year just to support normal 2FA with it. The other thing they advertise us 2FA for actions. So not just on login, but on actions. Imagine

A bit of an aside: I cut caffeine out 8 months ago except for the occasional caffeinated coffee or coke. Felt great after the first week, even, and haven't looked back since.

How does this affect companies which may not be willing or able to update off XP? Is there any mission critical software at hospitals that is XP only? Also, does it or can it put a prerogative on OS providers to support their systems longer

I don't plan my commits but think it's a good idea for certain types of developers. I find that testing really helps me define commit borders. For instance, I'll often commit once each new endpoint is tested, new class (if sm

Keeping churn in check is very important. High churn means something is wrong with the product.... Or maybe not? Implementation and support are important parts of the equation too. Product can't be garbage though.

It almost baits me to pitch the company I work for. I would think we keep sales cheaper because of efficiency. We were very very good at setting up a very efficient pipeline of demo setter (sdr) to demo performer and closer (ae). I believe

We put a strong foundation of trust and knowing the other person has the best intentions. I don't think it would work without strong trust across the organization and especially up and down the chain.

Not worded this way, but the idea of commitment is valued more heavily then unanimous decisions at my work. In particular, we follow that puts commitment right after conflict, agreement isn't necessary. I don't think this is abuse
