I often say that we don't need to agree, just commit together. I particularly like disagree and commit better. It seems like it would shorten time to decision as long as no one takes it personally.

I think we just disagree a bit. Maybe a vacation is necessary but I am very skeptical that good long term answers come from it. It's hard to tell from OP post but I'm cautious against assuming good answers will just come at the en

What strategies do you take to be an active contributor to the situation while on vacation? Do you reflect on certain things, avoid others? I'm wary against a physical solution (take a vacation) without advice on mental and emotional c

This is something I'm very sensitive to because I don't want to find myself in the same situation for long. I have felt it over time, but I've personally found success in: Reflecting on why I first got into software developme

Does this mean that their testing servers can access production db over network? That's something we specifically put under control so that even a misconfiguration can't cause this. I'm surprised an audit didn't discover

Maybe it's the size of the grocer that encourages the talking crowd? I can't imagine this being as popular in larger stores, although I did have several repeat customers who I enjoyed talking to when I worked in a grocery coffee c

They might have achieved that by pushing it in silently over time and utilizing feature flags. Only going live in an app store update once it was rolled out to everyone.

The pure market share could have been a motivating factor for parent post. I assume that things behave differently when you're the #1 at something. However, this seems arbitrary enough to not have that effect.

Going to second this. I love the idea of gitlab but I absolutely cannot enjoy the UI. I have trouble understanding the layout of the project from the base URL. I don't have that problem at all on github. Edit: I'm a fool. I swappe

I don't understand this. You could build up the template using jsx exactly like you could otherwise. For instance, I could put that in a variable and then use it in another template via {}
