As metabagel said you seem to be basing this on every hour in a persons working week being equal which is obviously not how things really work out. Do you not find yourself more mentally and physically fatigued at ~35 hours compared to ~25

Would you also say it is non-sensical to claim more work gets done in 40 hours compared to 48? Or perhaps 56 hours? Why is 40 some magical number to productivity? What if 40 hours leads people to padding out their day with extra bullshit li

Perhaps not to you but to me it matters a lot. I live in a country where it gets very hot in the summer. I prefer to keep my environment cool without needing AC. Unfortunately I have found that is not possible to do with my beefy Dell works

It is a shame it came to this. The primary way I use Reddit is via Apollo so I guess I won’t be using Reddit as much. On the web I still use old.reddit.com but I can see them killing that off sooner or later.

> It’s obvious how a 10 second clip scales to 10 minutes or 10 hours or 10 days. A 10 second clip that will have been tuned to perfection by the very best editors for the demo is one thing. A live, un/rough-edited capture of a gam

Well they showed it being used as a display with macOS but I don't know if you can isolate an individual macOS app window and use it as such within the Vision Pro interface.

For all the tech inside a device you can wear on your head it is quite impressive even for the $3499 price tag. I will hold off judgement until I can actually use one. While it certainly has some goofiness and kinda dystopian vibes in some

Yes I would like another laptop to compare this against as by itself it is a bit meaningless to me. Also total power draw would be interesting to know as well. However I suspect the unified memory architecture of the M2 is a big benefit her

Well damn that is pretty cool. I’ve not used UTM or the Apple Virt Framework but gonna have to look into that now! Thank you for the link.

Perhaps I am reading what you wrote wrong but are you saying it can use Rosetta within an ARM Linux VM to run x86 applications in the VM?

I see the specs on the Steam page only mention Intel model Macs which is interesting. I assume (which I hate to do) this is also Apple Silicon native and not running in Rosetta?? Edit: oops it says in the article but the page did not fully

Perhaps but I think it is quite unlikely the Apple headset is going to be anywhere close to $499. $1499 is more likely. Knowing Apple it will be higher than my guesstimate but we will know soon enough I guess. As for this new Meta Quest hea

I very much agree with this. While [redacted] and the UK don't share a language like the US and UK do I have found the [redacted] and Brits are much more alike than most people realise. Far more so than I found as a Brit and American

Yeah it is a difficult place for YouTube as they would need to enforce rules that say the video maker cannot have sponsored content/ads within the video and I can't see that going down well as I highly doubt YouTube would be in th

100% agree. I used to have podcasts or an audiobook on to listen to while I was doing 'boring' tasks but I found it was just causing my brain to work overtime and drained me of mental energy so quickly. Now I just enjoy the sound

You're right I should have acknowledged you can make it a keyboard shortcut. That is what is frustrating about macOS window management, they could add everything I want as it is sort of already present. It is just missing customisa

Yup this has been an option for a while but it isn't a nice quick keyboard shortcut :) Apple managed to make it one of the most awkward features to use in macOS IMHO. You have to position the mouse over a small UI target, wait a second

I use a Mac as my main system and what frustrates me is there is no way to truly disable all animations in the system. Sure you can reduce them which gets you about 80% of the way there but there is no supported way to totally disable t
