I think that after explaining a somewhat complex subject like how Ethereum works, you perhaps could followup with a clear example on how Ethereum solves a problem that other technologies would have a hard time doing. Maybe you can talk how

How is this article even talking about the title's subject? It's just the page for the LockItUp app. Seems more like product spam. Is this the correct link or is it just a case where the small single-purpose app made money? I woul

The word "fair" stopped making sense in kindergarten. You don't get what's fair or what you deserve, you get what you negotiate. This is very interesting. I hope you don't mind me quoting you.

Yes...I am not showing debris... that's the bad part. I'm just too lazy to clean things up.

Really? HN is implemented in Lisp? Wow. Never knew that. You have any links that talk anything about this? This sounds interesting.

This is so cool. And just going a little overboard: What if in some years they manage to create some Jump "scenery" from Google Brain data? The progression from this would be to make videos, and then Jump... no?

Could it be that the reason you fear death less as you get older is because you have done more in your life? Or maybe because you know that certain things, if not done by now will most likely not be done in your life, and so the burden of &

Is there a way to confirm if other platforms are having this issue? I checked my Chrome in work and home computers and couldn't find anything. But then again this extension is supposed to be hidden, so not sure.

Can you elaborate a bit more please? This sounds almost as if you configured a network adapter to only send and not receive, but you used "optics", so I'm guessing you refer to some sort of fibre-based device that actually im

I believe the point made in the blog post is that 5 days warning for basically just kicking you out for no reason is not something you would expect of a business partner. Stripe is a provider, yes. They can choose who to do business with, y

I have actually found myself thinking a lot about logs lately and how I can end up using them for a lot of problems, and are sometimes very simple to implement. But I always wondered if I was actually using the right tool for the job... I h

It might sound mental, but if it works better than the alternatives... then how mental is it actually? Thanks for the explanation. It's actually something I will try. I can't hurt to learn new things, can it?

I think what I was trying to say it's not really that developers are divorced from science, but that the day-to-day tasks that we do end up being far from whatever paper or thesis taught us how to do. The example that comes to mind is

If I understood your comment correctly; you say there are no (or very little) office politics in academia, right? I have met a few academics that would definitely bet their paycheck on academia having much more politics than companies.
