If you go fast enough, accelerating and decelerating at 1 g, you can travel a million light years in a perceived time of about 27 years.

Isn't C++ just capable of being a lot lower level and faster because of it? Aren't all (or almost all) AAA games written using C++? I don't think C# can match C++ performance, even if it is closer than Java.

Does anybody else remember StumbleUpon? I want that again. It was great for finding new content, better than Reddit or anything else.

So far, our comments have boiled down to "Yes you can assess unimproved value of improved land", and "No, you can't, there is no way to get that number separate from the value of improvements." So I'm going to

What would the unit cost if it were an empty lot? That is the tax.

No, because the tax is only on the price someone would pay for the lot.

The thought-out version of this is called Georgism. It proposes a (close to) 100% tax on the unimproved value of land. Economists agree the tax can't be passed on to renters, for reasons I can't articulate. https://as

I wonder if it would work to respond with a link to an online form to fill out with the job details. This website would also contain your resume and descriptions/code for your software projects. Kind of a script flip, making potential

I'm married and do envelope budgeting with Beancount. We share a bank account, and it's my job to update the budget every day. I manually enter all transactions, except for monthly expenses that are scripted to come out automatica

I do this. I use Cone on Android. It works great but only as an entry method. You can't edit old entries, and it doesn't run anything over the files. It just adds entries and that's it. I couple it with Syncthing, and Fava ru

I use this. I set up Fava served over my home network so my wife can look at the budget. There is an android app called Cone that lets you add entries. I sync between phone and PC with Syncthing. It all works really well.
