Connoisseurship can make about anything interesting! That said I love fans. I especially love those big old fans that seem to have a speed setting of 'menacingly slow'.

Wow this is timely for me. Just ran into this issue a few weeks ago when my mother's refrigerator needed a filter. I bought the bypass kit and figured I'd switch the RFID chips in eventually, but I haven't had a chance to d

It's the predecessor of the dictum about putting a wrong answer on the internet to get the right answer. Sorta, and with a few hundred years involved.

In the bus protocol context of master vs slave: Some combination of bus-controller works ok, bus-arbiter, or bus-writer vs bus-reader or bus-listener, or bus-consumer. We also have the idea of having two units 'slaved' together.

I guess something helicopter-carrier sized? I would think the main thing would be to avoid supercarrier sorts of ships. Smaller ships with similar capabilities would mean you'd be able to field more groups.

I can think of ways around that, but depends on what sort of missions you want to optimize for I guess.

I've seen more than one twitch streamer going into a big stream, get screwed by this. Of course, they should've known. But we've all made that mistake during a demo or presentation at some point or another. Worse yet, whe

This stuff is highly charged. Doing it over text messages just makes things harder. I appreciate you are doing it good faith, but 400 years of blood makes for murky waters.

This conversation isn't going to solve the problem (but that is a cop-out). I think the metaphor though hyperbolic was a bit germane: I too have a lot of problems with media coverage in general. But the reason why it's covered a

Yeah but it'd be even easier to just not kill so many black people for what often appears to be very little reason. The whole thing would solve itself. If a few police started stepping on babies and killing them for sport, making sure

Police are suffering from a PR disaster of their own making. Every day they present more examples of why they cannot be trusted. They seem hellbent in making sure they are the villains.

The current way that police are chosen, trained, and managed seems to have a corrosive effect on members of the police force. Option (b) with a sprinkling of (c) seems best, but it's clear the status quo in depts is not resulting in p

A lot of people are just really, really angry at this moment in time due to the long history of injustices and numerous examples in the past few days. Nuance is real hard to do under these circumstances.

I'm not gonna tell you how to vote. I will only tell you to exercise your civic duty. We are all smart people here: to wield both the abstract and pragmatic concerns into a decision. Make it. It may be the last we get to make.
