Can you kindly make a real word example that is not usual Maybe or Either example, that uses user defined data type? I understand how Applicative works, but I don’t know how to apply (pun intended) to my data types.

What I really want in an RSS Reader is to fetch and show also the comments. Think about this post on HN, I'm more interested in reading the comments. Sadly, RSS only fetch/shows at most the body of the item. It would be really goo

I don't understand what animal rights has to do with self-awareness. It is not that painful death can be absolutely prevented with self-awareness. There are plenty of humans who die painfully, with or without self-awareness.

Why people keep saying Black Friday is a scam? I find things on sale worth buying. Like I’ve been eyeing an Xbox Controller and it is now at 40, which normally is 60 in my currency. Where is the scam? Or the Proton Pass Lifetime Subscriptio

I was originally left-handed, but my father made me switch to my right hand because he believed being left-handed was the "hand of the devil." Now, I’ve become ambidextrous, and I instinctively choose which hand to use depending o

Do you have any reference resource where I can see something along the lines of "before with scrolling, after removing scrolling" examples? I too hate scrolling, what can I do about long tables? Pagination is half the solution. Ho

I'm not afraid of death, but I'm sad I cannot see how the world will be in 100, 200 or 500 years from today. I wish people invented a reliable cryogenesis machine, so that I can go to sleep, come back after a century, live for 5-1

I don't snore unless I do yoga nidra and I end up with the mouth wide open. Never done any kind of tracking. The thing is that sometime I realize that, when I'm not sleeping, I hold my breath unconsciously for long period of time.

No, I don't wakeup with headaches. But, I easily need at least 10h of sleep a day to feel normal. If I ever sleep less than 10h, my whole day is ruined. I don't know if this a good enough reason to doubt that I have sleep apnea.

This is the same conclusions that I came up. There is no way out of this shitty play called life. If you sit for too long, it will nag you to move. It you move for too long, it will nag you to sit. A little bit of sarcasm without opening up

People forget that the other problems are created by life itself. There is no way out by playing its game. You cannot escape the problem making machine by using it: it will only produce more problems. But the truth is that I'm not conv

I don't quite understand this. Postponing my death won't solve the problem; it's inevitable. The real question is, whose time takes priority—others' or mine?

I wholeheartedly support this point of view. Death should be an option freely and easily accessibile to anyone. Why have people here who don't want to be here?
