There have been many threads about this but it is a real pain. I was only a day aways of being forced to leave the US. I got one of the last H1B visas in 2010 before the quota was reached and my F1 expired. Now, happily I got a green card b

Funny enough, the moment I stopped caring so much about time and optimizing it, the more productive I got. Before I found that no matter how much time I had, I was always scrambling. This may be a bit too philosophical, but focusing on mome

Thanks everyone for sharing the stories. I have been working on a startup for several months, pivoted and I'll release the new concept in the next weeks. I think the biggest hurdle of doing something alone is keeping yourself emotional

That sounds a bit extreme, I would eat a couple tablespoons of Coconut Oil every day. On another note, I wonder if the probiotic trend is going to pay off. We'll see in 20, 30 years I guess

It is definitely easy to get overwhelmed by so many choices. In the end Pareto still applies, 20% of fewer of technologies are being used in 80% or more of the projects. Right now, React, Angular and Ember are probably leading the pack.

Our brains are wired to believe a plausible story easier than the one told by the base rate or stats... We need to be aware of the gaps our brain fills by itself. Definitely not easy, though...

I agree with you but it's difficult to pinpoint what makes a high quality game right? Story may be in the right direction. Although probably, we could not even agree on what makes a good story ;) For me I crave games that make me feel

I think you touched a key characteristic for a good hire. When you can find someone that is humble, and of course talented, in my opinion the rest will follow. When you hire some senior people, you may run into issues because how successful

I agree. From my point of view, games as an art form is in its infancy period. It has so much potential because it is interactive and immersive (even more so now with VR), but games often get caught in a core game mechanic and rinse and rep

This article made me think a little bit about games. What are they? Art, waste of time, intellectual gummies for your brain? All of the above? However, I believe that there are forms of entertainment that can enrich your life and others tha

Yes. The filter bubble and information overload are two problems, somewhat related that many companies have tried to tackle. However, it is really difficult for a company like Flipboard to change user habits and compete with Facebook. Users
