I'll add BeeWare ( https://beeware.org/ ) as a pretty nice nice to deploy Python applications cross-platform easily. It's more like a suite of tools, though.

This statement is incorrect. Being vaccinated does indeed help others. People who are vaccinated against the virus are enormously less likely to manifest dangerous symptoms and require hospital care, thereby reducing the overall demand for

Couldn't disagree more. To me, an apology signals that a mistake was made, noticed, embraced, (hopefully) corrected, and learned from. There's no shame or opprobrium attached to an honest apology, and plenty of potential for impro

Sure, mate. Masks "strongly discouraged"? Where? As I recall, the advice on effective prevention measures evolved pretty rapidly through 2020 but at no point did any government organisation here in Australia ever "discourage&

Reading the article makes me wonder how many close family members and friends the author might be willing to lose before deciding that a temporary requirement to wear masks out in public places is a reasonable step.

A good resource, thanks for putting it out there! I'd suggest that having an idea for a reasonable program might be more useful for a beginner, i.e. a series of routines to be carried out over the next n weeks. I feel that it's

I'd love to try this out, but I can't determine how to make the application accept requests to a hostname other than localhost. We're not all developing on a local machine. Is there documentation available for the app yet?

Is there a defined "age limit" on iTunes accounts (or any other digital asset account)? I don't know the ToS, but I assume that it's illegal to sell, trade or gift an iTunes account to someone else. Assuming that I conti

Anybody want to ELI5 the general concepts of how this is composing the loops? E.g. I don't know what 303-01, 303-02 and 909-XX are, or what the notation in those rows means.

I feel like this has the potential to damage the NewsCorp media here in Australia far more than it might damage FB. It would be fascinating to see what happens to their web traffic before & after this change.

My comment isn't for her; it's for everyone here. I don't know you, but I know me: a well-educated, middle-class white man, aged 25-44 y.o. in a Western country. I'll bet that demographic covers a majority of contributor

I'm mainly annoyed at the glass-half-empty, an-imperfect-solution-is-worse-than-no-solution attitude on display by many commenters in this thread. I don't accept the assumption of "lasting and irreparable pollution" from

Stating that burying plastic with the rest of the trash in a landfill is the same thing as taking that plastic, incorporating it into a durable building material, then using that building material for its purpose is patently absurd.
