So don't tax the first (e.g.) $25,000 of a person's annual income/consumption, then tax the remainder at a progressive rate.
- coldtea 6y agoEven if we tax it at a progressive rate, the total consumption tax paid by the rich will be only nominally, not percentage wise, bigger than the middle class/poor, because their consumption doesn't even come close to their revenue/wealth (aside from the fact that it's also hidden behind 2000 shell companies whose assets they use for personal use).
