It seems like the author doesn't realize that. OpenID Connect fills the specification holes in OAuth 2.0 that he is complaining about. If he had used an OpenID Connect library, his life would have been a lot easier.

The original Sphero has an SDK, but BB-8 is build on a newer version of their platform. It uses BLE like Ollie. It should be possible to reverse engineer their BLE service, for example: https://github.com/hybridgroup/cy

Learning is more than watching videos. Coursera, edX and other providers provide automatic graded exercises, discussion forums, peer-grading assessments, etc.

I agree, it was disconcerting to me as well. I read again and now I think that he is putting the throw there to exemplify that fx() can throw an exception.

Sounds like there is an incredibly strong hacker culture there. Some would say that the connotation of the word hacker used here originated in the 60s at MIT.

I don't think he meant 3-5 people working in a space the size of a one person office. If that is what he meant, you are right. Otherwise, if the space is big as 5 small offices, it does not sound bad.

Good point. Since the OP was talking about execution speed, I thought he was using the word thread to refer to OS threads.

Are you processing data using 4000 threads? Do you have access to a cluster? Otherwise it seems counter-productive. BTW, Python has great facilities (IPython.parallel) for doing parallel and distributed computing. It is also pretty good at

I was going to say the same things. Ableton's Live is an amazing software, it is the only reason my main sound workstation doesn't boot to linux by default.

Sage is a large collection of different mathematical python packages. For symbolic math it uses sympy, which is linked by the OP. From your comment, I thought that Sage was a replacement for sympy.

For #1, you can use ALT-`. I didn't know about it until I saw it here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/28086/what-are-unitys-keyboar... For #3, you can also use CTRL-ALT-T to start multiple terminals, and then CTRL-ALT-NUMPAD # to tile the

Have you seen these boards http://www.gumstix.com/store/catalog/index.php?cPath=27 ? There are more expensive, but are pretty neat. They even come with Wifi support on board.

I actually find the writer quite funny, his style is to stretch the "truth" much like Colbert does. Check his TV show about TV shows: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=charlie+brooker#
