The App Store is two parts -- there is the developer facing part where you publish into it and the consumer facing portion for discovery right? Apple's mobile and Mac App Store work this way. Amazon's app store, google marketplace, etc. etc

Eli, no where did I say those companies don't have similar TOS, I was trying (badly?) to make the point that while some of the commenters below (and folks on Slashdot) wave-away concern over the open-endedness of Dropbox's TOS because the c

When the new TOS were announced I think a lot of balked at reading those statements. The examples given in the TOS (e.g. "to convert your files") all seem reasonable, but as Indyan pointed out, it sure leaves the door open to some fuzzy int

So damn clever... releasing an SDK for the Kinect[1] was one of the smartest things Microsoft could have ever done and I think has gone a long way to contribute to it being the fastest selling piece of hardware in history[2] (did anyone kno

This seems like a lot more than an "IDE in the cloud" -- they have this great monetization angle of letting you publish your apps directly into their "App Store" (something like Google App Engine but also a store front for customers?) and a

Plug away man, ImpactJS looks fantastic. I hope you are getting some uptake in it and continue to refine it -- you'll be sitting pretty here as people look for non-WebGL alternatives to gaming in the browser that isn't Flash.

Oh, I was gunning for only CSS3/JavaScript/HTML -- I assume the WebGL version linked here ported a lot of the OGL code from the mobile version to WebGL right? (I could be wrong)

A few months back I played with Box2D inside of libgdx[1] using JBox2D[2] and thought the performance of untextured 2D entities was OK... seeing this running in JavaScript sort of floors me. I forget (regularly it seems) how far JavaScript

Whenever I see announcements like this, I try and cap my enthusiasm -- I think reading about solid-state-drives in the 90s and not getting them until... well the last 2 years, I have learned to be cautious with falling in love. THAT being s

Making all in-bound traffic free is a super-aggressive (and much appreciated) move. As blhack pointed out Voxel's per-GB rate[1] before AWS dropped was extremely competitive, but they charge for in and out-bound data. AWS, after the 1st o

Big win here (for me) was the File API finally got added so you can do DnD uploads now. IE has actually supported the DnD API for a while now, but didn't have the File API component to make the upload happen. Rendering speed didn't seem muc

A few more thoughts: - When you do put together the ad-supported version, include a mechanism for it to pull text from a web address and display it in a popup -- that way when you release Bullet Factory: Super-Bullet Edition, you can update
