Covering up the deaths of 10+ Million people that potentially occurred due to risky research because it might encourage conspiracy theorists and racists? I’m trying to be civil, but that’s the most conformist thing I’ve ever heard.

Yes, don't try to treat yourself. But if they have sleep apnea the doctor will almost certainly prescribe one.

I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t get a cpap machine now and try to lose weight. Lack of sleep makes losing weight harder.

It doesn't follow that viral load at infection matters because the immune system takes a while to respond. You have a built in assumption that immune response is exactly the same whether there is 1 (arbitrary unit) virus vs. 50 (arbit

It's not possible to lend digital media out without making a copy(remotely streaming it still copying), which isn't protected by the first sale doctrine. Redbox isn't making a copy. That's the big difference.

There is no mechanism to buy all Doge and the "market cap" of Doge includes lost coins. If you bought all of Doge, its value would be gone since it would be like it didn't exist. You might as well calculate the market cap of

A studio recording is what? 100k investment? A season of TV is at least 10M--and Amazon and Netflix are spending 200M on some. I think it would be very challenging to set compulsory licensing rates for TV and Movies.

Crypto "market cap" isn't really comparable to the market cap of companies. Nobody would (or could) ever buy Dogecoin for 44b. But companies are usually purchased for more than market cap.

This is an English vs. Spanish issue. When talking in Spanish, one shouldn't use America to discuss just the USA. But in English, you'd confuse the shit out of your audience if you said, "I went to America on vacation, Santi

You'd also have to make sure no new cases were imported (which means closed borders--i.e. troops on the ground not just canceling flights), AND you'd have to eliminate every internal case. It took Melbourne like 3 months to elimin

Not when you factor in immunity from recovered people. If we get to 60% of the total population plus 25% of the rest being immune from recovery, that is 70% total.

It's because of the first sale doctrine. Redbox and family video can buy DVDs and Blu-Rays (at a maximum) at the same price as consumer DVD/Blu-Ray--and rent them out without permission from the copyright holder. That means vide

Not really. Reasonable doubt refers to the totality of the evidence. A piece of evidence that probably supports a guilty verdict does not undue other evidence just because it doesn't rise the level of reasonable doubt by itself.

It would be the expert witnesses who would have to do the math--and they would reduce it down to a simple percentage chance. But now that I think about it, I bet defense counsel already does this. They did during the OJ trial.

I don’t know anything about the specific case, but often DNA from someone else would be totally irrelevant. If I murder someone with my kitchen knife, my wife and her fathers DNA will be on the murder weapon. If you buy a gun from someone a

I would agree with the last sentence, but municipal projects rarely operate on a level playing field. At a minimum, they get access to tax-payer backed bonds to raise capital that private companies can't match. They also get to regul

It’s unlikely ever to be a 2008 like event. Mortgages were considered safe investments so banks leveraged to invest. No credible bank is going to leverage to speculate on crypto. They might create products to let their customers do it, but
