Even governments, who get cheap access to capital, don't pay taxes, don't have to take profits, can't do gigabit in the USA for under 50 bucks. Upgrades cost money.

I'm willing to subsidize rural internet access for poor areas as a basic human right. But for everyone else, you can take part the massive housing cost savings you have over the urban part of the country and buy star link.

No expertise at all and no incentive to get it right. Government infrastructure is terrible and expensive in the USA.

Zoom only really requires 1.8-3 Mbps for their higher quality upstream video. There are definitely cases in which a family would want more than 20, so I wouldn't call 20 more than enough. But it's certainly usable for the average

I agree they shouldn't lie about the purpose. But they don't have to. Instead of "you have to wear a mask because VACCINES DONT WORK" (which is the current, deeply stupid, messaging), they could just say "everyone

That's exactly where I am on that matter. I don't wear one walking my dogs because virtually nobody catches covid based on walking past someone on the side walk. I'm okay wearing one inside even after full vaccination until

You only get to deduct expenses, not investments. They could have bought a 70 million dollar piece of farm equipment with that money to reinvest, but they'd only get to deduct a small portion that year. Regardless, you can't tell

There are some deductions for tuition and student loan interest. But I do think that student loan payments should be fully deductible against income.

Especially since US and European labs have had a lot of accidents that risked viruses escaping the lab. I really don't have any reason to believe or disbelieve it came from a lab. But that possibility certainly is not crazy.

It took Victoria 3+ months to go from 700 case to 0. How long do you think it would take America to go from 70,000 cases to 0? The longer a lockdown, the less severe it can be. Supply chains don't have 4-5 months of leeway. People are
