Probably because people are annoyed that "launching satellites" is portrayed as a major feat (as it once was), when nowadays launching a CubeSat is not that impressive.

None of the AI companies care about copyright lol. They just went from openly admitting the use of Books3, to being secretive about their dataset.

You visit every day for 15 years and never left a comment? That's kinda crazy. It makes me wonder if this is actually common and we don't realize.

People have been using hard bricked and soft bricked for a while. But this doesn't even seem to be soft bricked.

It's just a matter of time. Now that anti adblocks are way more effective, they'll become common.

Wow, lol. That's pretty hilarious. It seems like they need to increase the repetition penalty.

3.5x on a normal distribution with mean 100 and SD 15 is pretty insane. But I agree with your point, being 26% better at a certain benchmark could be a tiny difference, or an incredible improvement (imagine the hardest questions being Riema

Claude 3.5/3.6/3.7 seems too good at SVG compared to other models. I'd wager they did a bit of training specifically on that.

You could push it to 100hz, MAYBE 200hz at most. Higher than that, transmission losses due to skin effect would make it a bad idea. Also generator motors would require too high RPM. 240v is a good middle ground for safety and power.

Waymo is pretty safe already and there's no reason to think technology won't keep improving. Fare evasion is an interesting point. Of course you can't completely avoid it, as it happens on rail too. But you could install a tu

Kind of a weird take. Don't places that are considered to have great public transport have lots of buses? Just as driverless trains are a thing, it seems obvious that buses should also mature to be driverless?

After more than a decade, the UI for updating apps in F Droid is still very buggy. One of its most basic and fundamental features. I don't get it.

This line of thought is pretty silly. Claiming that the city is subsidizing X billions because some public space is free. The land there is so valuable because it's desirable. Sure, NYC could sell central park for a bazillion dollars.

People call out Gelsinger all the time. And yes, she is definitely responsible for this. Probably more than Gelsinger. At Intel it is not so obvious what they should have done to improve their fabs to better compete with TSMC, which is grou
