I still remember when they used to say "we called it Windows 10 because it will be the last version of Windows"...

I completely agree. It has those power-user vibes that many modern software lacks.

That's what I always wondered about this kinds of services. They could easily sniper all the cool domains they found for you.

If you login on some services on your phone, you have the same problem. 2FA protects you mainly from password leaks, not from people phisically accessing your devices.

I agree. Whenever I can choose between a webapp/Electron or a native app, I'll always go with the native app.

I agree. I spent countless of hours on Encarta. The interactive experiences, the 360° maps, even the small quiz games were a beautiful way to learn and discover new things. Wikipedia has way more content, but not this kind of things. I wond

I don't know about the downvotes, and I'm not a lawyer so take this with a grain of salt, but there's a difference between a service to the public (e.g. a café or a restaurant) and a service such as Hetzner.

It's very strange that they rejected your account from another EU country. Are you sure you created your account with real data?

It's a private service; private companies can choose whoever they want to do business with. They're not a public service.

I wouldn't say GNOME 3+ is following Mac trends. GNOME 3 has been a horrible mess in my opinion, it's unusable for both Windows and macOS users.

I completely agree. When I was a child, there was a super fun steel monkey bars in a park near my home. I used to play a lot on it. Fear was surely one of the fun factors. Then they removed it, because the local council was afraid some kid

And soon, thanks to the European Union, it's going to be great on iOS too. Now browsers will be allowed to use their custom engine (they were forced to all use Safari up until now), so thank you EU for the new DMA!

This is very important, because killing Progressive Web Apps would strengthen Apple's monopoly (which is the opposite aim of what the DMA is trying to do).

The EU must intervene on this thing. This is anti-competitive and anti-consumer behavior, a malicious compliance that goes against the very principles of the DMA.

I seriously hope the EU will intervene on this -- it's outrageous and malicious compliance.

WTF that's disgusting, they're actively manipulating information. If you write "black couple" you only get actual black couples.

How do you get confused? It's orange and black, completely different from Google's. But ... it reminds me of old-school Google logo, before they changed it to the simple sans-serif new one.

No I'm sorry. I don't mean "growth" as in infinite and unsustainable growth like VC-founded startups. I mean "growth" as in adopting a bigger market share.

The main problem with Kagi is that it's a paid service with no free tier. I get their reasons for this, and it totally makes sense -- but that's also a big problem for their growth. I know very few people who would pay for a searc
