I don’t consider that to be insight porn, which is why I found it personally valuable. I feel this is a fundamental law of getting anything done. There’s almost nothing that I actually want to do for extended period of times, but I want the

Jocko willinck (and many others I am sure) likes to state that you can’t rely on motivation because it comes and goes. Rely on discipline, build habits using discipline if you want to get anything done. A trite but in my opinion helpful sta

I have to use an iPhone in order to test our highest grossing platform. I’m not here to debate why apple has the most popular platform, I’m just stating what feels to me like a fairly unequivocal observation - apple’s software is pretty bad

As in can I justify my claim, or what are the reasons that Amazon produces better software? I would say the former is a qualitative statement and I am going to have a hard time backing it up with facts, and the latter I have no idea. I run

Yes but I would argue Amazon has better software than apple by a long shot. Ignoring how you felt as a worker out what you read Amazon employees feel like, Amazon has better results.

Addiction issues are a totally different animal. Just look up the definition of addiction. I’ll comfortably stand by my statement of use on the order of every few years being wellllllll within the margins of reasonable use.

It’s not more low key it’s actually much more intense, or rather can be depending on dosage. Easier to exact dose with LSD. Mushrooms are over quicker and as a result can be more pleasant.

Then how do you satisfy the real need for an outlet for aggression? I personally did this with motorcycle racing, which is competitive but mostly non violent. Cooperative activities are great and I really enjoy them, but don’t scratch the s

Large dollar denominated debt, strong dollar, results in potential defaults on that debt. Pretty sure USA won’t let Pakistan falter given their nuclear state status, but definitely interesting times.

With the looming currency crisis in Pakistan, we are probably closer than we ever have been to nukes falling into the hands of people who shouldn’t have them. Also not too friendly with Russia or china these days…

Factor in only unarmed shootings and it’s tiny. The rest are mostly armed and dangerous people actively involved in violence. That it a shocking high number of suicide by cop. You can watch a thousand videos if you care to and it’s eye open

Yes but you have to discount ubiquitous firearm ownership. You can argue that is problematic pretty successfully but I don’t fault police officers (as a whole, obviously individual bad actors, again we have 350mm people here and 1mm police)

Thank you for this. I’ve tried explaining this to many of my peers and family but even now, this viewpoint is considered bigoted by many, at least in major metro areas on the west coast. I think part of the problem is people are responding

There are roughly 350 million people in this country. It’s surprising the number of people killed by police isn’t higher. Everyone contextualizes police shootings as if they all happen in their local city, so the numbers seem large. I want

So what? So does my diabetic aunt who has had half her intestines removed because she can’t respect her dietary needs. Doesn’t make it true.

Taking off my pedantic hat, I think we agree. Meaning in the pragmatic real world, if you can keep weight off it’s better than having the weight on, and no one is doing that in the real world with an all sugar diet. With that being said, me

Not anything, you could run a five hundred calorie deficit and only eat table sugar. You’d lose weight and gain serious metabolic disease. This is an extreme, but obviously there’s better and worse things. Maybe it’s pretty comparable in th

That's my general take as well, but thought I'd float the question. There's also the consideration of $250k FDIC limits, though for the next 2-3 years that's as simple as maintaining a couple of different accounts.
