Oh. But I mean, you'd still be much better off with insulation. FWIW I wouldn't want to live in SoCal (hot) or Hawaii (hot and humid) without A/C. We don't have A/C here in the bay area, and I wouldn't want to

why would you be able to "get away with it" specifically without A/C? Seems to me having A/C would make a house with an uninsulated attic at least somewhat less miserable.

Thanks for the tip, installing now. Combination of too many toys and being too much of a luddite means I never played with it. Or knew it existed.

This is a completely incorrect understanding of tax brackets. If you make $1 more than your 'old' bracket, you only get taxed 32% on that $1.

is this supposed to read "_wasn't that_ the US was going to bring any charges at all?" Either way, I don't follow, but at least it would grammatically make more sense.

This was a good experience. SCSI adapters (with their onboard I/O) and burners were for the rich. The bad experience was anyone stuck using IDE drives, which relied on the CPU to handle all the I/O. They were the ones getting buff

I think this is a significant contribution to imposter syndrome. It took me a long time in life to realize that the confidence some people have in their opinions rarely comes from true expertise; rather, it comes from their personality.

Every time the topic of perfectionism comes up, a lot of people come out of the woodwork with a weird fetish for arguing that the psychological establishment is using the term wrong. To what end, I'm not sure.

As a WA native: happy for the edit of the ambiguous and US-centric acronym WA -> Washington. Also as a WA native: screw those DC assholes, why are we the only state that have to append "state" to our name?
