Because it looks easy. And in an age where VC money doesn't care about profits its easy to create a bank. When the fraud, regulatory compliance and low interest rate horsemen come knocking most of these efforts wont last.

OK I see that is for LGA1155 boards released 8 years ago, which isn't great but I'm not sure you need BIOS updates still.

D865PERL looks like it was built for a Pentium 4 in 2003. Its not like Intel is saying the board wont continue to work, just no bios updates. How often do you need to update the bios on a 16 year old system?

I spent half my 20s in dorms and big houses with roommates. Awesome time, met a lot of cool people that remain friends to this day. I don't know why people aspire to get their own house/apartment, its really boring.

Can you use wasm instead of regular js/html? I'm thinking for rich GUIs it would be great, even just for company internal sites. I can't find any good examples though.

I dont think anyone really cares what the scientists predict. Its the tragedy of the commons, no one will really change their behaviour anyway, even when it becomes unbearable to live in many parts of the world.

66% CAGR is impossible. That would mean every million dollars you invested turns into $4 Trillion.

Do they still outperform? I can imagine 10 years ago they were ahead of everyone but now quant investing is everywhere I would be surprised if they have a big edge.

Actually I'm starting to think the cell phone operators are doing a smart thing on this. In an ideal world you could trust the cell phone operators to diligently protect your number and you could rely on this to help Google/Chase&

It is relevant though as k8s makes everything more complicated so you have to deal with stuff like this. Also if it was a brand new app theyd maybe not notice the problem in the first place.

The Paris Agreement is a joke. Most countries just signed it then did what they wanted any way. Yes it would be better PR if US signed it and ignored it, but it wouldn't make any difference. https://www.nature.com/news&

Google lock is a big part of it, though Crostini looks to fix that. The main part is though most Chromebooks have low powered processors like Celerons, which is great for price, battery life, weight and heat.
