It is much more akin to the dotcom bubble. NFTs are entirely useless, the dotcom bubble was just too early (many dumb ideas then are successful now).

Listening to finance and VC podcasts it seems to me quite clear there is a bubble brewing. They are all repeating the same mantras and convincing themselves of a new gold rush. The financial side is convinced developers are 10x as productiv

In VC and finance land Copilot is going to make all developers 10x more productive and any company not using it is going to fall behind. If CTOs are not buying Copilot for all their developers they are going to get fired. There is a huge bu

How much is that elite independent of Xi? A relatively independent elite is probably a more stable system. But a completely subservient elite to the fearless leader is however much more dangerous.

Since they explicitly mention Kotlin, I wonder how it will fare in the future with all the new Java additions. I guess at least it will remain an Android staple.

If you drive like a maniac then you can eat up your tires way faster than in an ICE vehicle. It is not the norm though from what I understand.

You can find moral arguments against investing in practically any company. At the end of the day your stance makes no actual difference. The only thing you are doing is missing out. If you are so moral, spend effort into something more mean

Fracking is banned in Europe I think pretty much everywhere. It results in earth quakes, underground water and air quality contamination. But it it provides vast amounts of energy. The US gov cares about different things.

That work would be far removed from the industry forefront. With none of the resources and team with you. It takes millions to develop, train and run these AI models. Your plan sounds dreadfully lonely to me.

Unfortunately you can't just turn on/off coal at will. Gas is easier but still takes some time. This is why renewables solve very few problems. They are not really a replacement for anything.

You can swap the batteries at any time (at their stations) and it takes minutes. The depreciation is not a factor which is why it is an interesting model.

VCs are falling over themselves trying to get in on SpaceX. If there were to go public they would immediately be worth hundreds of billions. It will likely be one of the biggest IPOs in history. They are not that strapped for cash.
