You can learn the most generic course out there and still turn out clueless, you can also learn the most specific tool and come out and be able to generalize. As far as I can tell this depends entirely on the individuals ability to be resou

To run just Wikipedia it seems quite sufficient. It’s KTLO on multidecade old technology with no real upgrade or new feature added in as much time and no exponential scaling needs. They should be set for a decade if not More even if their e

Google search is broken because the internet has evolved in the AdWords era. Every person with a heartbeat has realized the monetary potential of making money from page views and SEO, so there’s a race to the bottom to capture the top spot

Wikipedia has assets north of 100MM last I read about it. They don’t need donations to run the core wiki media products for a real long time. Their appeal for donations is absolutely distasteful and misleading. All the money they get they u

Our Indian Condo complex generator regularly takes more than 30 seconds to start up. Even the best case is likely at 10 seconds so only having such a small cushion sounds dangerous.

One might consider to provide 1 point for self-awareness, but as the great philosopher of our time Bo Burnham said, “self awareness does not absolve anyone of anything.”

A good fraction of bugs and exceptions I’ve seen in real python code bases is because the code itself didn’t handle the None edge cases at the exact moment they get created, and hence fail in a different place and let the debugging engineer

I can authoritatively say that the business model sucks as well. They have to be tripping to think I’ll pay the amounts any of these subscriptions ask for. Pretty much every publication should ask for a third of what they do if they want to

The fact that geeksforgeeks is more highly ranked than SO for any coding question I ask proves this to me. Do programmers in Google not use Google to search questions? Do they not have self respect seeing the bad quality product they’re thr

OP talks as if it’s a trivially easy cheap cop out to make audience cry and feel good about it enough to go home happy. Dude, if a movie makes me happy cry I don’t give a rats ass what trick they used. They succeeded.

It’s a good skill to cultivate to try and guess how your life will be after you make some permanent choices. I have always been thoughtful about those and have generally had a good track record guessing how my life changes after each (movin
