Speed is so valuable in this. The momentum you get from deals dropping more than makes up for the cost. And getting around other high performers

Go buy some courses/coaching programs. It’s way less about one specific action turning you into a great salesperson. You don’t turn into a marathon runner overnight. Ive spent $7k on coaching and sales this year (just what I could affo

It’s really simple. Just talk to people with money (business owners) and ask them what problems they have. Then solve the problem for money. If you get in a habit of doing this you’ll get very good. This is similar to building a web app in

Sales certainly can be that. But I don’t sell things that way. If you solve a problem you get paid for it. Just do this over and over.

Learning sales. I use to only code and my ability to make money doing things I enjoy went way way up once I dedicated $$$ and time to learning how to sell.

Read Rocket Fuel. Its a book I am sure the HN crowd will critique but it has made a large difference in how my biz operates and how multiple founders fill roles. I am very much an "integrator" from the book. I am less of the massi

It’s not a price or promotion problem. Let’s start here: What pain does your ideal customer have? Figure this out (most people mistake pain for problem. That’s wrong) Go make content around this pain. Engage with those who comment. If it ma

There is 0% chance FB can buy coinbase. Coinbase won't sell. They've built an all time level team and are absolutely raking in $$$. This is dumb.

Also work entirely remote. Maybe 15% of my time is spent in the same city as cofounder. 85% is spent in others. Slack works best for communication. 8 employees are spread across world.

I did this building a small agency in the marketing and ad space. Happy to advise on specifics but in general here’s how we did it: Build up a portfolio of content (since we develop content) that shows we know what we’re doing. Go on speaki

What do you mean by this? As in, people hate doing marketing or they don't understand how to advertise? Plus, a mistake can cost valuable data? Where are you losing data?

I cofounded a small agency. I really enjoy it. I spend a lot of time away from our team and this is no shot at the amazing team we built. But the time where you're in the zone and able to produce/be creative is imperative to our g

I originally had a meetup group and it being local really limited the opportunities. I then switched to building an online Facebook group and scaled that. All of what I do can be done remote so it didn't make sense to limit geographica

How big is your team? To be honest, I am most excited about closing about 2 more sales (at this rate we close about 1 per month) and having the cash to hire help. We most need it in our content and sales efforts. These would speed up our gr

One other thing that took me awhile to get over was making asks (asking potential customers to become customers). Some people say this is like asking someone out on a date. I've been in a relationship for 5 years so that didnt help me

Thank you for sharing this. I am in the early stages (just a few months in) and I am hoping to work towards this level. How long did it take for you to go from a few stable clients to too much work to handle?

You need Patrick from PriceIntelligently to analyze your pricing page. Maybe tweet at him or Hiten Shah and see if either will help. I'd recon they would suggest you keep 2 tiers and add a call us tier for b2b enterprise. I see where d
