You can choose which ads to block, some people only block the most annoying ones at pages they frequent. If you have an older computer, flash ads really do slow things down considerably, for instance.

Years of inaccurate predictions aside, does the company have bigger problems than new hit hardware can't solve? Who knows, it's all pure speculation. Can they hang on for years in a lul? Well that's pretty obvious.

I know this is tongue-in-cheek, but none of the "skills" mentioned are very valuable. People one hundred years ago also took every convenience available. Maybe your average turn of the century citizen could use a radio, but few

Agreed. This also creates the problem of avoiding fundamentals. Is javascript really so bad we need to work exclusively in frameworks? Does CSS really need pre-processing? I think the answer is 'sometimes', but these days peopl

The factor I think he missed: All those managers timing trades in their random way has a randomizing effect on the system overall. But I'm not an economist, any ideas if or how that influence manifests?

Gamers don't fall into perfect categories of "Serious" or "Casual". There's a big market out there, and cell phone interfaces are fundamentally inadequate for at-par console equivalence.

See Bush vs. Gore in 2000. How many millions of voters thought the Democrats were so conservative they went green? After the dust settles suddenly Obama has a chance to compete with the rich old white guys. Change only comes from outside p

For a recent project I decided to drop all frameworks and learn responsive design from the ground up. I was amazed how easy it is, and how little 'boilerplate' or scaffolding was needed. Obviously there are tradeoffs, I'm sur
