They Probably need to hire a high priced agile consultant that will suggest putting 10k people on it to get it done in a month.

I'm not saying that the rules are reasonable -- I am just saying that is how it works. You don't get to change the rules of the game even if you have a good argument, which is what is essentially happening now. At the end of the d

The average depositor does not feel like someone with over 250k in the bank. No one will save those people if they hit a difficult situation like this. That said, I personally do not have an opinion on the svb matter, just stating what I fe

Funny… they are really bad, I agree . However , I accidentally let a bag sit out for maybe half a year , and surprisingly it tasted so much better after that. Not sure as to why .

Maybe your lua was a bit too good. Not liking the way something is laid out is very subjective.

My impression of Elon is that he would appreciate this straightforward feedback that is consistent with his no bs persona. I wonder if he has different evidence than what was presented to him ?

I am not a lawyer but I am curious as to this. Maybe it depends on your jurisdiction? What is the legal precedent for this? I am also curious -- if this is the case, then why not state explicitly in the job req that men need not apply -- if

I wonder if you can get whistle blower protection if you know your team is discriminating against a protected group, and who you can even report that to.

I am not a lawyer, but it sounds like a potential lawsuit. I do wonder what sort of whistle blower status you could be awarded in this circumstance if any at all.

This seems as good as any other suspect to me. What would make this more convincing if they could offer a reason as to why he stopped the killings. Was it something in his personal life his daughter could help determine perhaps.

I don’t think the government would let this happen. The tax base would completely dry up. It is most certainly a national security issue.

Software engineers need to step it up ? Many times organizations purposefully put distance between customers and engineers. I like working with the customer directly , but it can be easy to put your foot in your mouth when you are so far aw

Arguably the organization was not well managed. You don’t have one person make design decisions or push code without review. The organization surely lacked proper process. However, this is probably all too common. This also may be an argume

Right, the local government would have to use subsidies to support college educated workers. The whole system would surely fall apart. It is probably in governments best interest to safeguard against this.

I feel like this is true, but just anecdotally. Is there any good literature on the cost of if/else vs polymorphism? Does branch prediction really work that well in practice vs polymorphism? I figure the approach in the article would p
