That recent hack gave light to only 29% of total donations coming from Canadians, they are not widely supported no matter what the HN Libertarian slant wants you to believe.

This was never a protest, it was a blockade. If they were actually protesting public opinion wouldn’t have turned on them.

There's very little medical dissent from doctors. Plenty from Rogan and Fox News. I guess it depends on who you trust.

Right, let's see them keep their jobs refusing to wear a seatbelt.

Disrupted their lives by needing a vaccine proven safe, I don't think so. It's purely political. Hey remember the truckers pushing back on having to wear a seatbelt? Yeah, me neither.

This is the real issue. Zero repercussions. It also affects the quality of teachers. What stops some teachers from sleepwalking their way through the year if they know their students will move forward regardless of how poorly they’ve bee

I despise the Switch joycons, and not just for the drift issues. “Is my controller in single horizontal mode or paired vertical mode?”, “I want to be player 1”, “stop hitting buttons!”, “The pairing failed.” When the kids play together it’s

I enjoy building SPAs, but I often wonder if my joy comes from having built something, or is it just seeing the little virtual ball make it's way to the end of the overly-complex Rube Goldberg-like contraption of cloud services, NPM pa

A drag and drop page builder can churn out a page in a fraction of the time and many plugins generate fairly decent HTML, it’s rarely worth coding from scratch any more.

I’ve easily built hundreds of WP sites and Gutenberg makes me sad. Anyone raving about the block editor has clearly never used one of WP’s paid page builder plugins like Beaver Builder and Elementor, they’re in a whole different league. Y

It blows my mind that Google penalizes sites for being a fraction of a second slower than they imagine they should be, but a site I can’t actually view- right to the top baby.

Seems like a prudent move when a certain segment of the population believe the prior definition gives them an excuse to not get vaccinated.

If I don't get very sick, I'd say they work. The only people moving the goal post are the anti-vaxers. Ok, they reduce the severity of the disease...but..but..but COVID is still spreading so I will write off vaccines entirely.

The CN government doesn't immediately know when any one of their 1.4B citizens has COVID. Even if they did, early detection decreases death rate, it is not a cure. And zero deaths signals cure.

by pupppet 5y ago
It is not possible to 'catch immediately'. People spread it, government notices, lock-downs go into effect. A few dozen cases in a country of 1.4B is laughable.

Total B.S. To those stating China’s strict lockdown policy somehow makes this believable- lockdowns are in response to COVID. If there are still COVID cases triggering lockdowns, there is still COVID out there causing death.
