Love this, there are a few topics you hear about in class and you don't realise how mind boggling they are until someone less says hold up... The interpretation of the Poynting vector is another.

That's excellent spin. At least we didn't crash on the moon! Just at take off :) Can we just agree that India's Chandrayaan-3 will be a huge moment for humans? The first touch down, and in an unexplored interesting region in

Ah looks like this is the first thread on this. We still have India's Chandrayaan-3 due to attempt to land 23rd August, and similarly on the Moon's South pole. Russia's mission is still significant progress they haven't

Hopes lay on India for Chandrayaan-3. That said this is a huge success for Russia who haven't even managed to escape Earth gravity since the Soviet Union existed.

Hah now I'm picturing like that urban legend about Yucatan meaning "I don't know". Op is being asked by natives of he'd like some local clothes while he repeatedly jams his foot into the wet sand and points at it.

Reminds me of mindfulness practices, having a word for it, and linking that word to a trip to the Maldives is likely what makes it so intensely memorable.

If this were true we'd still need to explain why there's about 5:1 ratio of severely autistic men vs women. Bringing in milder autism we can dilute that down to about 4:1 maybe 3:1. But why? Why are we positing unproven theories t

I'd rather they don't. It's always a girl playing guitar very well but you can see her nipples through the top and the camera is set to show you her panties up her skirt. I don't trust myself not to click it every time.

R coefficient is how you assess fit to model. P is for significance you might use it to assess which model is better (typically using an interaction term). That 0.11 shows that the alternative model is not significantly better than the mode

I think it's well established that there are more autistic men than autistic women. At least to the point that I wouldn't challenge it with ideology alone. There is an awkwardness here. If transwomen didnt choose to feel like wome

You've put it clearly and simply better than I managed in my reply. The data is just too noisy we will need extraordinary large datasets to even beging to make comments.

Breast cancer is too common in women to be able to deduce this kind of stuff without a huge amount of data (if ever). There are a few generic factors that are clearly causatively linked, but that doesn't mean we could work out less str

It really makes you think about what sport is and why humans seem fascinated about it. What are we trying to achieve? Presumably just "entertainment" but then why do governments spend huge amounts on it? Quite a bizarre enterprise

Ultimately seems everyone agrees a women's category is helpful. The question is should transwomen be allowed in? I can see the argument for excluding them there appears little value as they can compete fairly in the Open category. I do

It's a shame because it would seem to be easy to make protonmail but low hanging fruit fixed. Similarly it seems relatively easy for signal to move away from needing a phone number. I don't know how good Session and Simplex are.

I don't see the structural issues, dad's not being supportive is not structural. Sexism could be, but it's everywhere my experience of the chess community is that it's less than say for women's football.
