I've delved into flash on iPods, though I haven't taken the plunge yet. You might want to look at https://www.iflash.xyz - there are adapters for multiple sd and micro sd cards, resulting in ridiculously large volu

Do we need to keep the DNA away from bacteria? Would it not be digested for nutrients or food? Or is that just propaganda from the salesman pushing memory carbon for my looongterm data storage needs?

Check the "making memories" infographic midway down the article. One part is that they transcribe the data four times, another is that they only use three of four bases at a certain point. There's probably more checksums thou

Oops. While I know that wifi access points and routers can be separate, I'm used to people conversationally combining the two as "routers." Sorry about that!

Ooh! I grew up with this game; someone brought a working Atari 800 to the Maker Faire a couple of years ago, and I was able to play a game from start to finish without referencing the manual. The Internet Archive has: * the game in an emula

I think the idea of intentionally deleting content is pretty foreign to the Internet Archive. They're more likely to say "welcome to oblivion!" and set a timer for 70 years to show the content again.

The Archive doesn't delete anything; depending on the current robots.txt, they may not show pages from past crawls. Update the robots.txt and you should be good to go.

There are caching plugins for Wordpress, and you can configure Nginx to serve pages from the cache if no relevant cookies are set. So this feels a little like it's showing lack of knowledge about what's been done before.

The article refers to lower power requirements. One of the problems of higher clock rates is heat dissipation; if this runs a lot cooler, then it might be able to clock much higher.
