Here’s hoping for a 2023 where they finally figure out how to get containers to work on Firefox for iOS. The other features are nice - but the fact that there isn’t any of the weird auto-login stuff that Chrome does between browsers and web

This was me. At first it was just like “Hey, prefix is C-b instead of a C-a, so it messes with less” (i.e readline, emacs), then I started to understand the windowing better and it feels a bit more natural with modern terminal emulators. An

You shouldn’t trust your upstream provider if you use a major ISP. Most collect data not only from their own DNS servers but also unencrypted traffic over port 53 and then sell that data. Using NextDNS allows you to use encrypted DNS upstre

That’s about the only use case I use. Helpful for cooking, when working with kids and you want them to know you set the timer, or you’ve crawled into bed and are barely conscious enough to realize you didn’t set an alarm.

I keep both on my network running on two different raspberry pis. AdGuard Home is a lot cleaner to use. In particular it makes it much easier to control routing for queries by domain and supports forwarding over DNS over TLS, DoH, and DoQ n

Maybe. I’m rocking a 2017 iPad Pro with LTE as my “second” device. After five years the keyboard is getting increasingly flunky - the fabric on the keys are starting to wear off and it just always looks a little dirty. I’m on my second case

Sorry about being stuck on Windows 10, but Windows 11 has WSLg[0], which gives you a reasonable X server out of the box. I liked X410, but WSLg is seamless. When combined with no fuss CUDA support and great docker integration, WSL2 on Wind

An increasing number of devices ship with hard coded DNS servers - usually 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. You need more than PiHole in those situations as you also need to transparently redirect DNS to PiHole/AdGuard Home. But that’s not enough

That’s not that terrible idea - it removes some of the stigma and potentially helps ensure the program provides value rather than just being a checkbox on the way to termination.

Funny thing I look at Tesla and my system and I’m seeing that my all in price for my panels + 3 powerwalls in 2020 is within 10% of what people in my town talk about paying for panels today. A lot of that cost gets eaten by installation and
