As far as i have been able to figure out, what 'entire product' relates to is not 100% clear cut. AFAICT, you could easily segregate the parts of your product you wish to be private, and just modify the GPL code to inferface with that (you

This is one of the reasons i want OLED screens on everything. I would find it very hard to go back to a non-oled phone, too. If you need darker-than-minimum setting then check out 'screen filter'.

Does anyone know of an extension for firefox (or chrome) that replaces white backgrounds (or even better all light colours) with darker shades? Flux and co are all well and good, but large areas of white (even when orange-ish) are still a s

I was literally looking for flux on linux just before coming to HN to read this, so i can tell you flux is available for linux[1], although there can be issues; which prompted the creation of redshift. 1. see http://stereopsis.com/flux/lin

They said amount, not 'calorific value'. Penhaps it was replaced with lower calorie food. But i think there is also the factor that sugary foods/carbs are more addictive and not as satiating as fatty foods (eg 'i'll just have another biscui

To be fair, OP said 'sugar in the form of cakes, candy, and donuts'. Also, sodas are a special case, as they have pretty much zero nutritional value and, unlike solid food, do nothing to fill you up.

Well, we already know DRM is a pointless expense, look at all the piracy it is stopping, according to ubisoft no less. But i think this could easily just be seen as users using piracy to try-before-you-buy.. and that most users might not li

I don't think you know nearly enough to make that claim. You don't know what value each party is bringing, or their roles, and you don't know how much was done before OP joined. You don't know if the business has any particular strengths. A

IMO 9gag shows how a reliable stream of quantity can beat out quality of content on the web. Every time you go to 9gag (AFAIK, can't say i've visited much) there is new content. It preys on the 'seeker' human behaviour (like reddit, minecra
