That is a weird claim to make and completely not true in my experience. Idiomatic Clojure is faster than any JS except maybe asm.js-like stuff.

Your point 3 is complete bullshit. Crimea was part of Russian empire since 1783. During that time Ukraine was also a part of Russian empire - mind you, not autonomic one. After empire collapse in USSR Crimea administratively belonged to Rus

That article is anything but useful. They have spent significantly more time designing and writing app in Go than their prototype in Clojure and now it’s faster? What a surprise!

I’ve been trying to switch to fastmail about once a year for the last few years and checked it again to refresh my memory. My main gripe is still here: if you are on a bad connection (or with no connection at all), Fastmail’s mobile app can

I presented (and, obviously, attended) at first year Polyconf and loved every bit of it. Organization is top notch, crowd is cool and you could always find something to speak about and topics are really diverse and engaging. Sadly I couldn&

I use riemann in front if influx, which collects data and forwards it once a second. Works nicely, especially given that I aggregate some more high volume metrics before sending them to influx.

BO surely did have a GUI! Sub7 was dark and sleek though, while BO had a messy office-like look.

I use dokku, but instead of using buildpacks I just write Dockerfiles directly. That way you'd never experience a problem, really.

Shameless plug for my own gettext-like lib for JS: https://github.com/piranha/puttext I also was puzzled about all this stuff coming from backend, so I wrote something to relieve my pain. :)

In my opinion mercurial's codebase is much better than bazaar's. It's concise and to the point, uses classes when necessary and functions in other cases, following logic is usually straightforward task and it educates well. O

I don't know, I'm not counting them. And there is no doubt djbdns is better than BIND regarding security - it's just you can't use "8 years ago updating stuff was hard" as an argument, because it was not.

Sorry, 8 years ago it was 2007 and updating BIND was done precisely by doing 'apt-get ...'. I still have a server running same installation of Debian since 2005 (copied from one HDD to another and to a virtual server then), and it

Go has low number of threads, usually a number of your cores or close to it. Goroutines are not threads.
