I’ve been trying to switch to fastmail about once a year for the last few years and checked it again to refresh my memory. My main gripe is still here: if you are on a bad connection (or with no connection at all), Fastmail’s mobile app cannot load interface and so can’t show your emails. Which makes it reeeeally painful at times when an app is most useful in the first place. :) Of course, I could connect native mail.app, but that makes your ui on desktop and mobile too different...
