It's actually very common for MS devs to use Chrome. I was at a talk given by Mads Kristensen recently (PM for ASP.NET Tooling), and he used Chrome.

It really wouldn't be that hard, Roslyn's out there for compilation, and doing things like Intellisense.

Readability when not using VS, for one. If you're rolling your own csproj (or need to edit it) to use with MSBuild, or some other build system, JSON is easier to read than XML.

I would definitely say that Mojang is no longer a startup. It's 5 years old and has a healthy revenue stream and a proven business model.

I really like the Visual Studio "load testing" [1] for this purpose. My team uses it. It doesn't just include a trace of paths through the application, it performs important load testing and analysis. Well worth the price.

This is when a centralized VCS with checkin-checkout concepts really shines. The client only has to check the checked-out files on commit.

Generally, in the US, where you see a flat rate is in the loan details, where it's usually, if you take the entire term to repay the loan, the overall interest paid is $X.

When they first started talking about Roslyn a couple of years ago, the plan was always to open-source it, when they felt good about the quality.

Yes, Microsoft put out the first tablet computers (with Toshiba's help, I believe) in the early 2000s. The problem was that they got it very wrong.

An ATM I use frequently hasn't been properly set up, so during the transaction, you'll see things like "[CONSUMER MESSAGE]" and "[NON-MEMBER FEE]" and "[EXIT MESSAGE HERE]". Makes me smile every time

Corn bread is a regional thing here in the US. In the south, you will often find it to be made very sweetly. What you're used to would probably be found more in the Midwest and Plains states. (I'm in Indiana, and the corn bread

Why mutual exclusivity? I like Lindt chocolate as well (on occasion, I find it a little overbearing on the sweetness), but I also love just a good, plain Hershey bar. You can love more than one thing at a time for different reasons.

I think the discussion is about "milk chocolate", a solid chocolate used in candy, not "chocolate milk", milk flavored with chocolate. 'Tis an interesting transposition, though!

I concur, as someone who also works for a vendor to higher ed. I know of small universities that demand an independent audit of all vendor code, to the large universities that are ok with having a four-character password for database access
