I don't know. Developing on Windows 11 + wsl has been a suprisingly good dx for me. Much better than my previous MacOS experience. I understand developers who stay in the Apple ecosystem due to the unbeatable laptop hardware in the mac

Honestly, the answer might just be: "Because it's freaking cool!" and I totally understand why that doesn't appeal to you.

Yes, I knew I would need to live with some annoyances if I wanted to be an early adopter on this. I tried to adapt but in the end it was just too much of an inconvenience. And while my quest 2 is indeed currently collecting dust, I don&#x27

I daily drove my quest 2 using immersed VR for a few months. In the end, the resolution was just not good enough for it to be better than my 3 monitor setup. But I'm looking forward to trying again in a couple of generations.

This project looks amazing, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, I'm not willing to give up Copilot for a better editor. But I'll keep this on my radar.

Everyone is talking about forums in the comments but what I really miss are mailing lists. Those were, for me, a much better user experience than both discord and the old forums.

Wait, isn't everyone else in the world living in a western democracy like me ??

Even if this strategy is good in terms of seo, they could have just archived those articles on a different domain.

I feel as if people have changed. I'm back in the office twice a week now and the good conversations and socializing parts just don't seem be happening like they were previously to the pandemic. I'm not sure what to think of

Nitpick, Acerbis doesn't make aftermarket fuel tanks. They make racing suites, gloves, helmets, things like that.

Or so that when you finally pull the plug, people don't complain too much.

In all fairness, windows laptops don’t have functioning sleep either. Only apple nailed it. Edit: This is what I'm talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHKKcd3sx2c

If I were forced to work in a hot desk arrangement, I'd much prefer this to a laptop. I can't stand working on a laptop for long periods of time.

No vim mode is perfect, but they do make other editors bearable. I think vs code’s is the closest one I tried. Though I never really used it as my daily driver.

I'm not on /r/StableDiffusion and just by reading your comment beforehand, I managed to get 23 of 30. Not bad.

By that definition no tech company is a tech company. People search things on google because they want to find information , not because of the algorithms that bring that information. People use stable diffusion because they want to create

Niemeyer is a national treasure, but I find his role in helping create a capital in the middle of nowhere in Brazil extremely reprehensible. Brasília was created to keep politicians away from the big population centers and avoid protests.

Absolutely, I remember owning a nokia n85 12 years ago which had native SIP support. I wish ios and android had this.

I think it’s even worse than that. I’ve been locked out of my Uber account for years, and that is not an ad based company. It’s just that at a certain scale , it’s not cost effective to handle edge cases.

I totally agree with you. To clarify, your device is too expensive for me because I live in a country which has huge import taxes and a currency which is really devaluated in relation to the US dollar. If I could purchase it without paying

I've worked full time for the last 3 days on a quest 2 using Immersed. Although I'm liking the experience, it's still not as good as my regular 3 monitor setup. But there are already a lot of advantages and after this brief p

It's pretty great, except for battery life, which is really annoying. It's the only reason I wouldn't buy another SE when mine breaks.

100% this, I have a zsa moonlander and it was one of the best purchases I ever made. The adaptation period was really frustrating, but I can’t see myself ever going back to a traditional keyboard.

I'm not sure if it's possible to downgrade the OS, but I have an older LG model with WebOS 5 and I don't get any ads. So it might be something worth investigating.

I'm on the same boat. The only reason FF is still my main browser is because of multi account containers. If Vivaldi implemented that I'd switch instantly.

Don't, and they also shouldn't. I just got my first AZ shot last Friday, as many others did, and we are all much better off with it. No matter what, you can't understate the amount of good this vaccine did throughout the worl
