Looking around in the US[1], it looks like legally the cap can be from 1:15 - 1:25 (K-3). It looks like 1/3 of states don't have any legal cap. Funny enough, this chart[2] correlating reading performance and class size stops at 1:

Safari has been frustratingly aggressive for me. I was working with a fairly heavy Google Spreadsheet and Safari would need to refresh/reload every time it lost focus. Between Chrome, Firefox, Safari and their plugins it's a dance

I've been noticing a $3 charge and had no idea this was the source. "Subscribe" is very vague description on the credit card statement. The subscription services I enjoy using have descriptions that show up in Google and send

That's answered in the article that people are taking proactive measures because they don't want to expose themselves for the sake of herd immunity. New York City has an estimated 13% of people have had Covid-19. That's nowhe

I heard anecdotes of reinfection with worse symptoms on subsequent infections a few weeks ago; this looks to be the article [1]. I haven't heard widespread confirmation or studies showing this yet. [1] https://www.vox.com&#x

I think soda's popularity is proof of the power of marketing. The "sip test" was thought to be flawed because taking a sip of something is completely different than drinking a glass of something. New Coke might be a better ex

5x5 has already been brought up a bunch of times. Starting Strength: Basic Barbell Training was a good book for me to cement each lift and I picked up 5x5 later for the routine. SS is a bit long-winded, it only covers a handful of basic lif

It seems correct for me. A bunch of Linux ISOs. It is missing some I've been seeding from http://academictorrents.com/ Others mentioned having an ISP level NAT. Could that be it?

I'm not sure I follow. If the LED burns out you're implying the camera would no longer work? I imagine they'd replace the whole camera module. I saw one for an older model on ifixit for $30. I'd probably try and snag one

I have zero idea about Netflix, Amazon, or Disney, but I hear the high turnover in execs at the big network TV studios cause this. The story I often hear is the "new guys" are terratorial and kill off projects of their predecessor

This may not be relevant at all to the topic at hand, but they also made concessions for their budget (which HBO likely does, too). The pilot was written for East LA where nearby JPL was where his former founders worked. They shot the serie

This [1] is the best source I've seen. 2008 era Mac laptops definitely had that exploit, but since then they've made hardware changes. > All cameras after that one were different: The hardware team tied the LED to a hardware si

Years ago there was an article about 2008 era Mac laptops that could enable their cameras without turning on the LED. I believe the camera firmware was read from RAM on boot. So they just intercepted that. Since then they redesigned the har

My understanding is that the LED is hard-wired the power source of the camera sensor. There's no separate software command to turn the LED on. All Macs run Windows and most run Linux pretty well. So you /could/ audit at least

I'm pretty confident after the 2008 camera exploit they engineered the camera to wire the active light directly to the camera power source, which I think is what you're talking about with #3. #1 and #2 seem kind of irrelevant to m
