I live in SE Asia (Thailand) and although I'm fascinated by China, my experience with Chinese tourists has turned me off visiting the mainland completely. They are more often than not incredibly loud, rude and lack almost all basic hum

Industry standard holdback rate is 10% for six months. I've been in the payments industry 15+ years and never heard of anyone holding more than 10% except for PayPal. Not giving a timeline on when the holdback is returned is also uniqu

My team runs a paid chat app for Instagram models to monetize their fan base. Apple did a 180 on their own IAP rules and called us to insist we could not use the App Store without charging with IAP. Their app store rules clearly state that

My family lives in the wealthy eastern suburbs of Sydney. My mother can only get ADSL and it caps out at around 3.5Mbit. She can hardly have a skype call. They say she won't be able to get NBN until at least 2020. I live in Northern Th

Precisely because it limits it to specific markets you mentioned. The new 3310 got a ton of press in the US/AU/EU etc and lots of people like myself would love to buy one as a second phone. In a lot of places such as Singapore the

What's really sad is how they took Nokia down in flames with them. I'm really looking forward to seeing HMD Global rise Nokia out of the ashes - the new 3310 is a great start but without 3G/4G LTE support is DOA. Lots of coun

Funny how whenever I read that a company is 'launching an investigation' into something, I interpret it to mean one of two things "We're so incompetent we don't know what we're doing" or, more likely "

Calling them shit heads for 'giving up' when they feel the deck is stacked against them is an oversimplification that avoids the issue. I think we're seeing in western culture what has been happening in Japan for the last 20

My housekeeper here in Thailand costs about $290 a month and fetches groceries for my household daily, so this makes me feel quite lucky.

As a consumer, the only power I have to deal with this situation is to tip my drivers who give good service. I actually hate tipping, and think it should be included, but I don't have any control over Ubers business model. So I tip. Un

Simply incredible. She got a 'charming' apology letter only because she's famous and the US got caught with its pants down. To think that this happens every day to people without a platform.

If Apple can manually review and curate the thousands upon thousands of apps a day being submitted to the app store, I think it's reasonable for Steam to manually check that 30 new games a day load and actually work.

I think the same market that is interested in the Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ or Miata would be interested in a car like you describe - but with more horsepower and with a mid mounted engine. Like a poor mans Porsche Cayman.

Apple Inc. isn't taking this development lightly. It even prohibited WeChat from using the term "app" as applied to mini programs. Glad to see Apple once again using its tight grip on its developers to look out for Apple.

Seems to me like they have, sadly, set themselves up for failure by adding too many gimmicks to the car that sound fancy but nobody really cares about. Facial recognition? On your first model? Really?
