This narrative is overblown and parroted by the uninformed. We do have Medicaid for low income families, and Medicare for seniors. The problem is you have to apply for it. Maybe people should be automatically enrolled.

You're right that this is a matter of personal philosophy. I view it as an optimization problem. Given a set number of tax dollars collected, everyone wants a piece of it. I don't trust people to allocate these correctly. The alte

>How would this work for e.g. Montana with seemingly-endless lengths of highway and a very low population density? Why would they need nice roads then? Seems like a waste of money to build a bunch of expensive roads for the 5,000 people

The new evidence is hardly novel. The lab leak theory was always a possibility especially since there was no conclusive evidence otherwise. The other theory, that it came from an animal, was never proven either. What we did know from the be

Why should I pay for other people's kids if I'm never going to have kids? The only people that should have to pay for those services are the people who actually use those services. For things that are unplanned like injuries (or e

It's not illegal to sell a security after disclosing that you own that security. I don't even have to point to any specific laws, just look at all the websites that talk about stocks operating without any SEC intervention.

From a quick Google search (not to be snarky) it seems like they only confiscated about 650,000 guns. There's about 400,000,000 guns in America so I'm not sure how good of an argument that is. In addition, Australia is essentially

There's not much point listing homicide rates when it's so much easier to kill someone in America. What's more interesting are cases of violent crimes. Though considering how much more diverse the United States is, it's

America is probably comparable in violent crimes to more racially/religiously/culturally diverse countries in Europe. Like France, or UK. I'm just guessing though.
